Our Cheese Tips

On this page, we share helpful tips and frequently asked questions about cheese, so you can fully enjoy our artisanal cheeses from the Gouda region.

To keep your cheese as fresh as possible, we recommend storing it in the refrigerator. Wrap the cheese in special cheese paper or plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out and absorbing odors.

The shelf life of cheese varies depending on the type. Generally, the younger the cheese, the shorter the shelf life. Soft cheeses like brie and camembert can be stored for about 1-2 weeks, while hard cheeses like cheddar and Gouda cheese can be stored for several months. Want to store the cheeses longer? Then you can have them vacuum sealed with us. After vacuum sealing, they will last for approximately 3 months.

For an optimal taste experience, we recommend serving cheese at room temperature. Remove the cheese from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving. Cut the cheese just before consumption, preferably with a cheese knife to prevent crumbling.

Cheese pairs perfectly with various accompaniments such as fresh fruit, nuts, honey, and jam. Try different combinations to discover your favorite cheese pairings. And don't forget to add a good glass of wine or beer for a complete flavor experience! All these products are also available in our store.
